THE  CRISTMAS IN ROMANIA







         The Christmas means time spent with your family, presents, happiness, sweets, superstitions and traditions handed down from one generation to another.

         In Romania the Christmas is welcomed with Christmas carols by the children wishing us the most beautiful year.

         A very important symbol is the Christmas Tree. It is thought that it attracts long life, luck, prosperity and happiness. In Christmas Eve, Santa Claus let presents for children under it.

         The winter holidays are the most beautiful and diversificate in our culture. The Christmas is that time of the year when in romanian people’s houses traditional food, cinnamon and cookies tantalize with they’re smell.

This is the longest holiday when we try to be better, to have good hearts, to be the light in the dark world. The magic and the colors of the Christmas to feel like we need a new beginning.

         This time of the year connect us with our traditions, and we are transported to another world with happiness, carols, costumes and colorful masks, this is Christmas time in Romania.
